The classic mountain lodge at Alta Ski Area

Alta Lodge is a classic mountain lodge known for its warm service and fine food. The Lodge is located at the base of Alta Ski Area with ski-in, ski-out access, so no car is needed. The lodging package includes full breakfast and four-course dinner daily. A free kids’ program provides activities for children, a special kids’ dinner, and a shuttle to ski school. The Sitzmark Bar and afternoon tea in the lobby welcome guests for après ski. The Deep Powder Ski Shop is located a few steps from the Lodge entry. The Lodge is also open in summer for weddings, conferences and retreats.

Getting to Alta

Alta Lodge is only 32 miles from the Salt Lake City International Airport, about 45 to 60 minutes via airport shuttle. If you drive to Alta in winter, please note that vehicles must be equipped with snow tires from November through May. Four wheel drive is recommended. During winter, the road to Alta will at times be restricted to vehicles with four wheel drive or tire chains. Parking is in public, uncovered areas, and parking regulations are strictly enforced. Upon arrival, please ask staff for parking instructions.
