This summer Alta staff was busy! They worked with architects, environmental consultants and a contractor through a series of workshops for the goal of constructing a LEEDS certified building. Alta Ski Area wants to use this building as a day lodge for the Wildcat Base. The building will include a ticket office, ski shop and various skier services. Possible construction is slated for Summer 2012.
Meanwhile, crews remodeled the existing ticket office and the Alta Ski Shop, both located in the Wildcat Ticket Office. Skiers will be pleased to find increased shop space for retail, a dedicated area for rental, and walk-up exterior ticket windows off of the deck.
