Since 1968, The Shallow Shaft Restaurant has been winning over Alta’s powder hungry skiers with our casual approach to fine dining. Our intimate dining room overlooks Little Cottonwood Canyon, giving spectacular views of the sunset and the sleepy town of Alta. Chef Kurtis Krause uniquely blends the local fish and wild game of the Wasatch Mountain Region with flavors from across the world’s culinary traditions to create a menu that is both diverse and hearty. Voted “Best Wine List in Utah” in 2011 by Salt Lake Magazine, Wine Coordinator Peri Ermidis builds an eclectic and robust wine list featuring wines from around the world.
