The Wasatch Mountains, rise almost directly out of Salt Lake City. Not only do they provide a magnificent backdrop to the city, it also means you can spend less time traveling and more time in the mountains. At just 45 minutes from the airport, you can be skiing in no time!!
From Salt Lake City Airport
Take I-80 eastbound to Exit #128, I-215 southbound. Exit the freeway at 6200 South (Exit #6) and take a right at the light. Follow Wasatch Blvd and the brown recreation signs to Alta in Little Cottonwood Canyon.
From Downtown Salt Lake City
Take I-15 south to the I-215 eastbound interchange and head East. Exit the freeway at 6200 South (Exit #6) and take a right at the light. Follow Wasatch Blvd and the brown recreation signs to Alta in Little Cottonwood Canyon.
From the South of Salt Lake City
Take Interstate 15 north and exit at the I-215 eastbound interchange. Exit the freeway at 6200 South (Exit #6). Then follow the brown recreation signs to Alta in Little Cottonwood Canyon.
From the North of Salt Lake City
Take Interstate 15 south to the I-215 eastbound interchange. Exit the freeway at 6200 South (Exit #6). Follow the brown recreation signs to Alta.
From the West of Salt Lake City
Take Interstate 215 southbound and exit the freeway at 6200 South (Exit #6). Travel east on Wasatch Blvd following the brown recreation signs to Alta in Little Cottonwood Canyon.
From Park City / East of Salt Lake City
Take Hwy 224 out of Park City. At Kimball Junction take Interstate 80 West towards Salt Lake City. Take exit #130 onto I-215 Southbound to exit 6200 South (Exit #6). Follow the brown recreation signs to Alta in Little Cottonwood Canyon.
